Our Story
Let it never be said that you can’t find your soulmate online. It took just a handful of dates for Kerry & Chris to realize that they may have FINALLY found “The One” in each other. On their third date at paint night, Kerry realized just how uniquely awesome Chris was when, seemingly from out of nowhere, a tiny origami paper crane magically appeared on her easel! A lucky penny they found later that night confirmed what they felt: they were, at long last, lucky in love.
Belly laughs, quoting movies, and city adventures soon followed, and true companionship sprang forth. After six blissful months of playing house in their tiny one bedroom apartments, they took the leap and landed on Adrian Court in a townhouse with pups Harley & BooBoo Bear in tow. Chris happily realized his new title of “Dog Dad” meant always having a poop bag in his pocket, at the ready!
The Move came just in the nick of time, as they would have to quarantine together five short months later. Kerry learned how to sew masks, build fires, and hold the many poses of “Yoga with Adriene”. In addition to their hiking, biking, and baking, Chris also learned Kerry was a devilish card shark hidden behind a gluten-free sugar cookie facade. To make the best use of their time during quarantine, they set out ring shopping and ended up designing a beautiful one-of-a-kind engagement ring together. On a sunny winter’s day in February, with that ring in hand, they hiked up to Lake Minnewaska and Chris asked Kerry to marry him in an ice cave on the way to a frozen waterfall. She enthusiastically replied “I will!”, and they set out on their next adventure: planning the greatest New Years Eve party of all time!
